You can tell these hands have been swinging an axe for many, many years, and I loved shading them. I was given this piece of wood from a volunteer at the Collier Logging Museum (the museum's imprint is branded on the back), so I wanted to do something that recognized that heritage (and that of my family as well). The park and museum was a favorite place for our family when we lived in southern Oregon, a natural location for picnics, forest hikes, and trips back in time as we entered the many historical log cabins.
